There is a method in archaeology called „activits area analysis“ (Susan Kent) which could be compared to the strategy of Lior Eshel. It could be described as the action-oriented archaeology of creating identity in the liminal phase of entering exile.

The result is a complex of work of high diversity. It does not deal with the cursory problems of „cultural clash“ or the political aspects of the recent crisis, but with the general problems of acting within liminal and precarious contexts caused by exile.

The arising associations with the recent crisis are not an particularly planned and obvious political statement but more something that automatically emerges, when the general problems of space, accessability of ressources and identity in exile are explored in an unbiased manner that is focused on the acute acting.
