With radical decrees he lead up Europe in single steps. As military leader Kemal was strong enough to call out the republic on Oct. 29th 1923 and to force the calif into exile on March 3rd 1924. The Arabic writing was replaced by the Latin writing and a secular constitution after Western model was enacted. The newly founded nation state replaced the caliphate, the feudal system. With that a poly-people state became a nation state in which one national language was admitted what for example lead to the cultural self-determination of the curds being ignored, and them siding with the caliphate. The conflict which started off that way is brooding still today and is a flaw of the otherwise successful revolution from above with A as peace-lord and father-figure  at the top. In the phase of the revolution the strong position and the severity of the constitution whose guarantor until today is the military proofed itself necessary. Only that way the principle of revolutionism with permanent reforms could be put through. With that went the introduction of the Gregorian calendar  and the law against turbans in 1925, the equality of man and woman as well as the voting rights for women 1930 (communally) and 1935 (nationally)

3. ....and a strong appearance for the Turkish republic.

The creation of the painting which commemorates of this revolutionary step of the Turkish emancipation is now itself planned to be an act of intervention for the course of the demonstration.

Across the Strasse des 17.Juni (name of the street, meaning: Street of the 17th. of June, German holiday to commemorate the uprising of construction workers in the former GDR on that day in 1953)in Berlin an empty canvas was stretched out. In front of it a ribbon with liquid black color as a kind of ink-pad so that all demonstrators had to step across this threshold und left behind tracks of their shoes on the white canvas. Then there lay floor mats to get rid of the color off the soles.

A video shows impressively the reaction of the demonstrators to the threshold. First they were stopped and looked what the cloth would be all about. After its function was recognized only a few avoided to their soles dirty  and jumped over the ink. Most of the demonstrators used their shoes like a stamp and stepped on decisively firmly to press their soles into the ink and then demonstratively onto the canvas. This printing of one's own mark by the way points directly to the term 'painting', what means 'to leave a mark' ('mark' in German= MAL, 'painting' in German = MALEN). A third group of people was so dreamy that they stepped onto the threshold without noticing it.

Furthermore something mentionable happened unintentionally. That is when during the demonstration a light shower of rain came down the color was thinned out lightly mitigating the graphical firmness of the sole prints. By this mingling of nature some thousand foot prints became blurred and the foot tracks have become to gray fields with soft transitions. During
